Josh + Katie | Wedding

Josh & Katie’s wedding on  Saturday was absolutely gorgeous! We had a stunning bride, handsome groom and an absolutely beautiful day.  The light was perfect even though portrait time  was right at the brightest part of the day.  Moments before we were to head out for pictures, we had our customary quick rain shower but that did not stop us from capturing this gorgeous couple.

Josh & Katie chose to have a “First Look” which allowed us to shoot all of our portraits before the wedding.  While we leave this choice totally up to our clients, it does make for a much more relaxed day.  😉 Following pictures, we headed back to the church for a nice lunch and time to relax.  I also should add that this wedding stayed perfectly on schedule which made our job so much easier. Thank you mom for that!

The ceremony had several unique elements that made the wedding very personal including a special family prayer time which I loved!  Following the ceremony, a bright yellow Corvette was waiting to whisk them away for a few more portraits with us.  The reception was at the Roberts Conference Center in Wilmington, OH and it was breath takingl!  My favorite time during the reception was the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance.  As if that did not make me cry enough while shooting, they had to add a grandfather/ grandaughter dance.  Do you know how hard it is to shoot while crying?  John and I BOTH were wiping tears from our eyes the whole time so we could see what we were even photographing.  {I think I might have even had the “ugly cry” going on!  Good thing the camera was covering my face! }

Here are a few a lot of our favorites…
