Merry Christmas from Tammy Chavies Photography!

I want to take a second and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I am almost ready but I have a few more gifts to buy and all of them to wrap.  I did wrap a few of my 5 year old’s but apparently I forgot to tell him NOT to open them yet.  I will be re-wrapping those along with all the others over the next day or two.  I will be taking a few days off to enjoy my family and I hope you all do the same!

Check back in 2012 because like always around this time of year, I have a few changes under my sleeve.  You may have already noticed the blog makeover.  If not, look around while you are here.  I have several announcements and some fun things planned for the coming year.

Enjoy this Christmas season but remember to step back and

celebrate the true meaning of Christmas…

OUR SAVIORS BIRTH!

Here are just a few of the children who visited Santa at the studio this year.

 And…

Okay, let me try to explain this picture.  This ended up being on our Christmas card this year.  Why?  Well because it makes me laugh EVERY time I look at it!  Apparently, I told everyone to scowl angrily at the camera so we could show all our friends and family just how much they mean to us. 🙂  For some reason though, my 5 year old {yes, the same one who innocently opened ALL his gifts} decided he needed to hide under his sister’s leg for some odd reason.  We went out twice trying to get the perfect picture for our cards and this ended up being “THE ONE”.  Every single time I saw this image come across my computer screen, I would crack up laughing!  I would laugh at the unexpectedness of the image, the scowls on all our faces but “little man’s”, and because as a photographer you simply canNOT get the “perfect” image of your OWN family!  IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!  We may not have captured the sweet family picture that I dream about getting every year but I did capture MY family and that means everything to me!

So when you look at this image PLEASE feel free to laugh right along with us but promise me you won’t  judge my photography skills from this one image.  If I am honored enough to take YOUR family’s pictures,  just know I will not be running like a crazy woman after I hit the self timer and most likely I will notice if one family member decides to do his or her own thing.  I won’t promise however that I will stop them but I will promise not to  make your family scowl at the camera! 🙂

Merry Christmas from my Crazy Family to Yours!
